
The NLC Elementary and Jr. High Spelling Bee was held last week and was an extremely competitive event. The following students will represent NLC at the Lyon County Spelling Bee to be held in Olpe this year on February 20th:

This week at Northern Heights


Mr. Reist and Mrs. Johnson traveled with Bethany to Lindsborg to perform at regional piano. Bethany received a 1 rating and will he performing at State Piano in the near future!



Northern Heights basketball at Madison will begin at 5:00 PM with full JV boys & half JV girls. Varsity girls will play immediately following the JV girls game (they will not wait until 6PM) then varsity boys.

Yesterday, NLC held their honor roll assemblies for students in grades 3-5 and 6-8. The assembly recognized students for their academic achievements on the Superintendent, Principal, and Counselor honor rolls during the 2nd nine weeks!







NHHS FCCLA was honored to host District H STAR events in Emporia. Students worked hard to make sure that everything was set up, running smoothly and torn down at the end. They judged, competed, acted as runners, and participated in
the voting delegate sessions. These kids did an amazing job!

Junior High students celebrated Kansas 163rd birthday today. Students
celebrated the birthday with a cake and some Kansas History. To finish up the day we listened to third graders read about The Life of a Homesteader. Happy Birthday Kansas!

Rescheduled Basketball Games for Northern Heights

We have been working hard at the Preschool. The students have been making improvements on writing their names and working on their letters!







Yesterday, Northern Heights senior, Cooper Hamlin, signed his letter of intent to play baseball for McPherson College. He is excited for the opportunity to pitch for the Bulldogs while working towards a degree in Sports Management. Congratulations Cooper!
