This past weekend some students attended the FCA spring conference. Students hit the road to Salina bright and early on Saturday and returned Sunday afternoon. Students participated in games, small group studies, music, and worship.

I can't thank Nadia Qureshi with KansasWorks Southeast enough. She was wonderful to work with. We, of course, couldn't do this without the many volunteers who took time out of their busy schedules to interview our students.

We would like to say congratulations to Addisen Petersen in the long jump. Addisen had a long jump of 14-7.5. This jump broke the previous record from 2018 held by Makenna French of 14-5. Great job Addisen!
NHHS SAFE members have the opportunity to attend the annual KDOT Safety Conference Tuesday and Wednesday.

Varsity baseball will be at home against Wabaunsee on Monday.
On Wednesday the NHHS FFA Horse CDE team competed in Topeka Tune Up Horse Judging CDE. The team placed 6th. On Thursday, FFA members competed in Paola at the Miami County Aggie Day. Entomology Team placed 6th with Kelton Bish placing 7th individually. Mariah Anstey placed 7th individually in Vet Science. Food Science placed 5th as a team with Sadie Bathurst placing 8th and Mariah Anstey placing 1st. Livestock placed 3rd as a team with Bethany DeDonder placing 3rd individually.
Congratulations to Cooper Spade today in the 3200. Cooper Spade broke the school record in the 3200 by running a time of 11:43.38. Record was held by Cooper Hamlin with a time of 11:54.19 back in 2019. Great job Cooper!
Congratulations to the girls 4x200. Faith Hamlin, Addisen Petersen, Kaylyn Bish, and Avery Patton broke the record by running a 2:02.99. Previous record was 2:04.43 from 2012 made up of Claire Hamlin, Jordan Wooderson, Riley Houston, and Breanna Brecheisen. Great job NLC!
USD 251 held Preschool Roundup this evening at the Early Learning Center. We are excited about all of our new four year olds for the 2024-2025 school year. We are still accepting both in district and out of district applicants.
The NHHS FCCLA students went to the Kansas State Leadership Conference in Wichita. All of the star event participants did amazing. Both Adaline Brown and Addisyn Hinrichs qualified for the National Leadership Conference in Seattle, Washington. We also had Preston Patton and Addison Landgren, FCCLA seniors, receive scholarships at the Ceremony!
